The office is welcoming, with an adorable office cat. Overall, the hospital is a five-star destination for pet care.
Really lovely staff. I brought a found parakeet with a broken wing here. Avian vets are hard to find, but full marks to this vet for even accepting birds at all. I probably should have inquired after pain meds, but derped, and they didn't offer any. I ended up keeping said bird as no one came forward for having lost it and he is still alive and chirping again. They even texted me a few days later to see how he was doing. Love that. 💜
My cockatiel stopped eating and drinking. He was fluffed up and wouldn't stay awake. I called multiple vets and animal hospitals that said they helped birds. Either they didn't or they were booked out for weeks. I finally called Harrisburg Pike Animal Hospital and they had multiple same day appointments available for my bird. I was so relieved. By then he seemed to be acting a little like his normal self, but not fully. The vet thoroughly checked him out and he didn't notice anything weird, but still gave him antibiotics just in case. I have been taking my fur babies to see Dr. Pendleton for over 12 years now and could not recommend this place enough. Yesterday we had our newest addition spayed and microchipped and they were amazing. They took such good care of her. I also love that they always call the day after my pets appointment to check up on how they're doing. The wonderful person I spoke with today let me go on and on about everything that our puppy had eaten and done since yesterday and answered all of my questions. 100 out of 10 recommend.
