Kim is the BEST. My photo doesn’t even do the cat eye justice it look fabulous! And Kim is very detail oriented great at shaping if you want a full set done right she’s your nail girl!!

I called for a dip powder manicure. I asked the price. First, the owner said $60 and then she said it was extra $10 to remove my prior dip powder. Why not just state that it is $70 at the outset plus tip? I hate BS.

The owner of this salon is extremely unprofessional. I went last month for gel colour and even though it took 1hr15mins(!!) which is the longest I have ever had someone take to do a simple gel colour (no art), it lasted 4 weeks so I thought I would go again this month. Except this time, Kim decided to charge me twice as much as the gel colour cost me last month. When I questioned why this was, she immediately started yelling at me and screaming ‘you clients driving me crazy!!!’. I asked her if she could stop yelling, I was simply asking why the different in cost in last month. She kept yelling and screaming over me when I was trying to talk. I also witnessed her treating her staff very poorly, telling them off for not doing things exactly how she would do it, even though I had no issue at all with the actual service.
Mary did my nails and she was so lovely and very talented, I made sure to tip her on her own and not the actual salon. Even though Mary did a perfect job of my nails, I sadly now won’t be back to this salon due to the attitude and behaviour of the manager. She needs to learn how to treat her staff and her clients with respect and to be able to have a mature conversation without immediately escalating it into yelling at someone. She has very poor emotional intelligence and is not someone who should be running a client facing business.

I had an uncomfortable experience at Crystals Nails. Aside from being dissatisfied with the final result, I would likely have rated Kim 2 stars if there had not been an issue with pricing at the end of the service.
The color I initially requested was unavailable, but Kim reassured me that an alternative would give a similar look. After applying it to the first finger, it was clear the result was very different, so we switched to another color. This change took approximately 5 minutes.
For the first 3 hours of my appointment, the salon was empty, with only one customer arriving near the end. The service took a total of 4 hours. I’ve had this same style done twice before, and it took no more than 2 hours. Additionally, the finished result does not match the reference video I showed, which used a different technique to avoid excessive thickness.
The process was painful at times, and I ended up with a cut under my thumbnail. The nails remain bumpy, thick, and have noticeable indents when viewed from the side.
At checkout, I was charged $210 (cash was requested, but I paid by card). I was then asked how much I wanted to leave for a tip, at which point I asked why the price was so high. Kim explained that there was an additional charge due to the time spent on the color change. She later offered to reduce the price to $180.
The overall experience left me disappointed due to the time involved, the discomfort during the service, the final appearance of the nails, and the pricing. I’ve since noticed similar concerns mentioned in other reviews, and I regret not researching more thoroughly beforehand.

Ms. Kim is the best. She got me in last minute and took her time doing my nails, she’s super precise. Besides that, she’s absolutely lovely and funny. I will be back for sure.
