Gary did a great job diagnosing and repairing a troubling leak from outside the concrete frame of my bilco doors into the interior of my basement. He was very fair with his work estimate and cost, and extremely responsive when I contacted him to do the work. My backyard is mostly a very, very steep slope that seemed to confound every hardscaper or mason that surveyed the site. There was a decaying wooden stairs that seemed to add to the sadness of the landscape. I dreamed of natural stone steps and woodland plantings with laurels and ferns. Gary Simmers was the only hardscaper with the confidence to take on that hillside and for thousands less than my next cheapest estimate. Gary is a true craftsman and take pride in his work. He was the only mason we talked to who was willing to reuse the beautiful stone on our old patio that needed to be rebuilt. He painstakingly took up each piece, cleaned it and then relaid it. The final job is wonderful and we are so pleased. Here are before, during and after photos!
