Alyssa and rest of the team helped out my family and I tremendously finding furrier homes upon finding 5 kittens under our deck and 7 more in our alley. They also took in the “Mother Hen” who not only took care and nursed her babies but the rest of the bunch too. Thank you so much for the work you do for the community!!
We went to adopt our second cat on July 24th, ended up with Kairo! We went in and they had so many cats and sweet kittens available. When we met with the lady working there she steered us away from the original cat we were looking at because she had known records of not being good with other cats. We were set on a female cat due to past experiences but she then talked to us about what we were looking for in behavior and personality and steered us toward Kairo, who was in the condo room with 3 other female cats, and a great cohabitator! I recently adopted a kitten from the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area, and I cannot recommend them enough! From start to finish, the entire experience was absolutely wonderful.
What truly set this experience apart was their open adoption process. Instead of feeling like a rigid interrogation, the process felt like a supportive, open conversation aimed at finding the perfect match for my home.
