My 5 year old Whirlpool dishwasher started to leak from the bottom of the door. I’m not very handy so I called AMS Appliance Repair and spoke with Mike. Nice guy, came out quick to check out our dishwasher.
Mike said he couldn’t find anything wrong and thought it must be the door causing the leak. Said it would be $400 to replace the door. I listened to his advice since he’s the “professional” in this situation.
I decide to purchase a new kitchen aid dishwasher for $900 installed because I didn’t want to drop $400 to repair the door on a 5 year old dishwasher
I order dishwasher from Bestbuy, they have third party team install dishwasher. After installing the new unit the one guy asks my wife what was wrong with the old unit. She explains what was happening. He clearly tells her, I am required to tell you this, your old dishwasher was not broken.
The line that leads to the garbage disposal was clogged. He had to push through buildup that was clogging the line. This installer advised me that the same thing would have happened to my brand new unit if he didn’t do that.
After my wife tells me this I was highly annoyed. I paid $105 to be told in 20 minutes that my machine was broken for what would have been a very easy fix. I’m out over $1000 because I relied on repairman who couldn’t diagnose a simple fix.

We had problems with our refrigerator ice maker, Mike came out quickly, arrived on time and quick diagnosed the problem. He didn’t have the part in stock but was able to order it to arrive within a couple days. He watched the tracking of the parts and called us to schedule the final installation the next day. Again, he called when he was on his way and arrived exactly as he said he would. He made the repairs within minutes of arrival and our fridge is working great. I will definitely recommend AMS to family and friends. A+ service and professionalism.

Mike came up to our house last week and repaired our LG range. Apparently we had a problem with the igniter and other companies local to us couldn’t handle it. He was on time, courteous, friendly and fixed problem. I will certainly call him again when something comes up

Great service from friendly, attentive folks. I did not compare prices with other service providers, but I felt that AMS’ price was fair and Mike took his time to figure out what the problem was and instead of charging for a larger repair (I wouldn’t have known the difference) he dug a little deeper and found a cheaper solution, and I really appreciated that.I would definitely recommend AMS and would use their services again in the future if needed.Service: Washing machine repair
