This man here(Bill),a total stranger. Has made a huge impact on my family's well being. I'f not for his kindness,generosity and understanding I would have lost the only vehicle I own. Sat at his shop taking up valuable space for a year and never complained about it,not once. Waited for me to make the decision and once I did he immediately started and finished the engine replacement in record time. He is a reminder of how the auto mechanic service industry used to be. Bill and his team have helped my elderly father, mother and wife with wading through the outrageous quotes fro pepboys and others of their kind who regularly fleece uneducated consumers. They have saved my family thousands of dollars over the years, and consistently provide a voice of reason and honesty when we felt blindsided by outrageous estimates from other shops. We were visiting from out of town for the holidays. On the evening of Dec 29, our van started acting funny. On the morning of the 30th (a Friday), I took the van to Harts Run Auto Service simply because it was walking distance to our Airbnb. I got there a little before they opened, but Bill immediately came out, drove the car to hear the sound, and dropped me back off at our airbnb. It was right before the New Year, and judging from the number of cars in the lot, they were really busy, but when he heard that we were from out of town and had to drive 6 hours back home on Tuesday, Bill promised me that he would work us in somehow, but they had to finish some other jobs... read full review
