Mike D. was excellent. He was punctual, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. I honestly have nothing bad to say. To be transparent, I had another plumbing company out prior to this visit, and while the outcome ended up being the same, I didn’t get the best vibes. Mike was the complete opposite. He took the time to explain everything clearly and thoroughly, which made a huge difference. Despite the cold weather, Mike went outside and removed the vent cap from the pipe in our front yard. He explained that it wasn’t technically up to code, and once he educated me on why, I completely agreed. He then had me flush a toilet so he could see the water flow and reassured me that everything was moving properly — even showing me visually, which I really appreciated. He made a simple but effective fix by adding ventilation holes to the cap, secured it back in place, and then walked through the house with me one last time. He flushed the toilets again and explained that the remaining issue is the roof vent pipe that’s being covered in snow and ice. I felt very confident in Mike’s work, his explanations, and his professionalism. I would absolutely recommend him and would not hesitate to call again.
The heating technician was a highly experienced, thorough, personable, careful man. He started right in--with orange "booties" to protect floors since most of his work was in the cement-floor cellar: the furnace, flue, chimney. Set right into his work after explaining what was involved & included in my Service Contract. And readily, professionally answered my list of questions. A gentleman in every way. When he asked about the thermostat, I admitted that I had trouble seeing the settings (only 5' tall) and with programming it even with the booklet. He stepped right up; told me what the settings were and asked if times and temps were what I wanted. They weren't--except for daylight hours. And he proceeded to ask and set, ask & set. No attempt to "sell" or "push" unnecessary services on this 2-yr old $24,000 furnace which he reported was in excellent condition, very efficient. That certainly put me at ease looking ahead to what was being predicted as a cold, later snowy winter. Overall rating? Bravo! & Thanks.
