Yvonne is the best! After getting a bad cut from another salon a girlfriend recommended Yvonne and I'm so thankful she did. I never had extensions before and wasn't sure if I would like it. Needless to say, I love it! And my husband is obsessed with it! Thank you, Yvonne for putting the sexy back in my hairstyle.

I have been a client of Yvonne's for almost 16 years. When I moved to Chester County I heard of her at JC penny and then finally two years later I started seeing her at then Bold and Beautiful. The evolution of my hair from short cuts, weaves, color, to natural has matched my evolving style, growth and trends in the market. That's been the power of Yvonne - to evolve , get trained on new trends and partner with me on my current hair choice. She hits it out of the park 99% of the time and that one time I didn't like it she brought me back in and fixed it. During the pandemic she made me a wig and provided me hair care products to use at home. She also educated me in what needed to do. She's a chester county gem and I'm so grateful I don't have to go far to take care of my hair.

I have been a client of Yvonne's for over 12 years and I have never been disappointed with the level of service I have received. Yvonne is a true professional who is a master of her trade. I have had long hair, short hair, natural hair as well as weaves from Yvonne and she always makes my hair look amazing. My hair has never been healthier. You never have to wait and you are in and out quick. The atmosphere is pleasant, there's great conversations and her clients are wonderful people. I have made several friends just from my standing bi-weekly appts. Yvonne did my hair for my wedding that was taking place at the Jersey shore. She and her assistant drove down just to do my hair and makeup. She's a class act! Having my hair freshly styled right before my wedding was the topping on the cake. I typically do not write reviews, but when it's very much warranted, I share my experience. I am very particular with my hair and my hairdresser. Sadly, my hairdresser passed away and I went almost a year with not getting my hair done. A friend of mine recommended Yvonne at a Royalty. I reached out for a consultation and was very impressed with her professionalism and plans of what to do to get my hair back healthy. My official first visit was amazing!!! She was on time and had me in and out in a timely manner. It's has now been months and I am a regular client! Yvonne has always been professional in everything she does. Her salon is always clean and I appreciate that she values my time and I'm not in the shop for hours at a time. She is very accommodating when needed and that is rare. What i pay each week (yes, I go weekly) is very much worth it as i always receive compliments on my hair. She even did my daughters hair for her prom and she looked even more beautiful in that special day. I enjoy going in and having good conversation with Yvonne and Adrienne. She always ask me about my business and she is always in great spirit and I love when Ozzie and Layla are hanging out too! At the end of the day, if you are looking for an experienced hairdresser, Yvonne is great and I highly recommend her!

It has taken me many months to write this review after my experience with here that literally almost came to blows. My first experience with Yvonne was under Bold and Beautiful 13 years ago. She transferred my hair from an over-relaxed straggly mop of hair to a natural bouncy healthy head of hair. I was grateful. just a 2 years into being a client, my experience there was often uncomfortable, from the atmosphere, to the constant having to wait well beyond my scheduled appointment time, to the rush job I felt happened often when I got home & had to curl pieces of my hair she completely missed. I moved on and a few years later after experimenting with going from natural blonde to a brunette and back, I had bang damaged that was overly concerning but my hairdresser seemed less than concerned. At this point, I decided to give Yvonne, now under Royality Hair salon, another try. I had heard things had changed amongst other good things. A good cut, learning to restyle my hair &less than a year later WE had my bang grown back out & healthy. The pandemic struck. My hair grew, I loved it. I decided to continue to let it grow, for fun, even though I have always preferred a shorter bob style. It got to the point where I was having trouble maintaining the long hair, it wouldn't hold a curl well, my bang was breaking from over heating. After multiple suggestions from Yvonne on how to fix the damaged bang, yet keep the longer hair, multiple visits where I had asked for a cut and was talked out of it, I finally was ready to cut my hair, back to a chin length bob & start over. The days leading up to the visit where I was going to be insistent on a hair cut was filled with my friends advising me not to back down, insistent on that hair cut no matter what she says. I knew forcing the haircut was going to present an issue. The day of the appointment for a color cut and style the last words of my friend as I pulled in were - get your haircut, be firm! After no less than 10 minutes in her chair and color being applied, Yvonne honed in on my damaged bang & began to scold me in as polite a tone as possible for not listening to her advice, meanwhile cutting me off every time I tried to speak to insist I was listening to her advice, nothing was working & I just wanted a cut. Welp!!! There it went, the argument just as suspected was going to happen & her insistence I do not need a cut, I need to take better care of, not use so much heat, it doesn't matter that I don't think my hair looks nice, it looks fine, just leave it alone. She spoke over me at every turn, her voice at a screaming level. I actually had to curse at her to grab her attention. After a 5 minute scolding on why I don't need a cut, she agreed to cut it. She then proceeded to say things about me to other patrons in the salon, bringing up a mutual friend & her profession and how I would lislten to the doctor (you are NOT a doctor, you are a hairdresser, BIG DIFFERENCE!), she was totally classless, unprofessional &out of line. I was APPAULED! This was not just an employee, this was the OWNER of the salon. Her teenaged daughter was present! At this point I felt very uncomfortable and was going to leave after my color was rinsed. A few text exchanges with a friend later & I decided to stick it out, get a hair cut & style, leave her no tip, not schedule my next appointment. Message very clear. After being shampooed & blow dried by someone else, Yvonne came out of her office& proceeded to tell me "I think it's time you find another stylist, blah blah blah, with the nastiest of attitudes again cutting me off. All this while holding scissors in her hands asking me how much i wanted cut. WHAT!?!? At this point, this lunatic was not going to take scissors to my hair, she wasn't going to touch my head. I said I think I should l go & as I tried to exit the chair, she blocked me, not once, several times, when I finally was able to get up, she had me pushed up against the wall while screaming at me, with te

It was so wonderful having Yvonne do my hair for my wedding. She was right on time and worked very quickly and thoroughly through everyone’s hair. We have a great conversation with her, and I felt like she was part of my crew. She work with many hair types, both natural black hair (mine) and Caucasian hair. Everyone looked beautiful and I was surprised how quickly she had us all ready. So happy to find someone that can do my hair in Central PA and do it in such an excellent manner.
