I am do thankful for this facility and Dr. Ellett. We were 4 hours from home on a weekend vacation and my dog became sick. We took him to the emergency vet in Watsontown and they did Xrays and told us my 4 month of Dobie, Colt needed surgery. He had multiple foreign bodies in his stomach. I looked around for a veternarian to perform the surgery and found the Animal care center. We arrived at opening and they got us in quickly. Dr. Ellett came in and showed us his Xrays. Talked about options and gave us comfort about what was about to happen to my boy. The surgery was successful. She called me after and gave me a complete rundown. The staff sent over a picture of my guy post surgery and we were able to pick him up that evening for transport to a facility that was open 24 hours to continue to receive IV fluids. I would recommend Dr. Ellett and animal care center to anyone in the area. Grateful for her professionalism, kindness and talent.

I’ve been coming here for a few years now. They’re very good with getting you in fast and have great availability. Their prices on prescriptions are pretty on point too.

I scheduled a light therapy appointment for my dog and sent over the X-rays and CBC to Animal Care, as they requested. I rearranged my work schedule, and arrived 10 minutes ahead of my scheduled appointment. We then were escorted into a room where we waited for about 45 minutes. Eventually, someone came in and said the person who does the therapy wasn't there today. I would highly recommend before scheduling an appointment to check if the person will be there, or at least cancel the appointment ahead of time.

There's good and bad here. Most of the doctors are nice. The technicians won't allow you to accompany your pet to the room, which I don't like. I believe the animals are treated well. The fees are very high and they want payment upfront. That's a problem at times. They always get your pets visit made quickly. All in all, I guess all Vet offices are about the same.

We had a very positive experience yesterday at this wonderful facility. Our 1 year old English Bull Terrier had had 3-4 days of progressive diarrhea and GI upset with vomiting. This breed is prone to kidney issues. They are also known to be aggressive chewers and have bowel obstructions as a result of ingesting anything: you name it. Their self preservation is not high on their list of virtues either so they will engage in destructive behaviors to their detriment. We entered the clinic with this knowledge knowing we would probably need X-rays and blood work at a minimum. We were impressed with the kindness of the tech staff and front desk support people. Dr. Kiminsky gets a particular shout out. She was great at explaining the findings. She shared X-rays and lab work with us. Our pooch is better today thanks to the collective efforts of this terrific place.

First time here and I was taken into a room to wait an hour before I had to find someone to let them know I was here for so long. The dr came in 2 minutes later, didnt apologize or acknowledge that I had to wait so long. Then took my dog for blood work and that was another 30 minute wait. Complete waste of my day and time with no consideration for an apology. Very, very frustrating first experience.

Absolutely the best place in the area for your 4 legged loved one. My boy needed serious care and the staff here did not bat a eye. Experts if I must say. I will be forever returning.

I would not recommend ACC. In August 2025 our 12 yo Aussie was experiencing hyper fixation on water and was constantly licking his genitals. We brought him in immediately to address these concerns on 3 separate occasions! Not one time did they bother to do a simple urinalysis. The “vet” using the term loosely, shrugged my boys behavior as neurological/dementia.
Fast forward to Thanksgiving day, my dog can’t get up and is violently shaking. Spent the entire day in the emergency hospital an hour away and received a diagnosis of stage 3 kidney disease. Which we later discovered was from a UTI that ACC never even bothered to check.
When we went back to them the following day and asked them why they never did that test , they just shrugged and said we can give my dog painkillers and showed an utter indifference or any semblance of responsibility for this.
My dog was a healthy, beautiful, intelligent animal. Now I’m hand feeding him on a bed while he soils himself since the UTI advanced so far it caused him significant leg pain. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else, and get a second opinion if you went here. Thanks for nothing!
