We recently used Ye Olde Chimney Sweep to clean our wood burning fireplace and flue. Clearly a popular company as we had to book the appointment 3 months out.
The guy showed up and worked quickly and efficiently. I did point out some spots that were missed, which were promptly addressed. The end result was excellent, and we'll be sure to use the service in a couple years for our next sweep!

Fred Kalch took care of our chimney for years. We use our fireplace a lot, and we have them swept every year. When I first called, I told Fred that I had an estimate from another vendor, who said our century-old chimneys were unsafe to use and must be immediately replaced. Fred said he was tired of unscrupulous contractors scaring people into unnecessary and expensive repairs. Twenty-five years of safe experience have now borne him out.Now Fred has been succeeded by his son Eric, who is just as knowledgeable and practical. The sweepers they send out have always been most courteous, and cleaned up after themselves very thoroughly. High marks all around.
