I had specifically booked with the owner/“master hair stylist” after moving back to PA from CO because my previous stylist has ~20 years of experience & I wanted a qualified person. I did include brief notes on what I was looking for. My first appt was changed to a different stylist (listed as having only 5 years experience) without consulting me. I called and rescheduled for the next week with the original person I requested. When I showed up, she didn’t even meet me (look at my hair texture, discuss what I wanted, etc.) before the woman at the front desk washed my hair. When she came out, she looked nothing like the photo I saw on their website - part of my reason for choosing her was that she had a similar hair cut to what I needed trimmed up…. Now today her image is different, which is very confusing. I tried to explain what I wanted, but she basically just trimmed my bangs and my longest layers. She didn’t try to clean up the shorter layers or frame my face, and then she put in a curl product to just leave my hair wet until I asked for a bit more drying. My hair isn’t actually curly. I have thick, wavy hair which is also why I have layers. It felt like my preference to work with her was an inconvenience. I could have gone to a super cheap place like Great Clips to get the exact same end look. She was friendly enough but never really asked about the look I wanted. It was very disconcerting after having such an amazing stylist for the past year & half in CO. Now I have to find another salon and hope that they might actually take the time to discuss what I want and spend more than 15 minutes cutting my hair. The conversations from the other stylists and clients was pretty abrasive (very Jerry Springer).

I absolutely love coming to this salon. It’s such a peaceful and relaxing environment. Andrea is an incredible stylist who never stops amazing me with her skills. I requested she take off a lot of my hair while leaving the length so I could get rid of most of the blonde in my hair and she nailed it! I am so happy with my hair.

Shout out to Andrea Senior first of all. She cuts my hair perfect and does my hair faster than anyone I’ve ever had with the same results. My hair is long so that means a lot. I love the vibe of this salon in general. The one girl always kicking up the feet lol the princess running around so sweet ? and the lady making floors nice and neat ? lol killed it ? but frfr they really the best lol

I went to Lavender to get highlights in my hair. After getting highlights and putting color on my roots, my hair fell out everywhere the technician highlighted my hair. This was in November. I lost half of my hair. It’s slowly growing out. I wanted the owners help in guiding me what my color should be. No help what so ever. Would absolutely not recommend.

I recently visited the salon for a mani and pedi. It was the first time back in some time and my previous experiences were so great! However this one felt very off. When I arrived at the salon on a Saturday for an 11am appointment the door was still locked and no one appeared to be in the building. I was worried I wouldn’t even get my pampering. About 4 minutes before 11 someone finally appeared and saw me peaking through the window and unlocked the door. I thought this was weird because hours say open at 9…. Next when I made my way to the nail station, nothing was ready. There was cleaning water in the foot tub and it needed to be wiped down. There was an empty wine bottle sitting on the mani station and things weren’t ready for me at all. The appointment was interrupted by a trainee hair student that I got the impression was supposed to be helped by someone else that didn’t let others know they were going to be out that day. I didn’t mind the interruption but the problem was that it then felt like the rest of my appointment was rushed. When it got to my mani I got a classic gel mani. Cuticles were done quickly and the gel polish is already chipping. I was only there two days ago!! I get it stuff happens and I would have had a better experience if I just felt like they wanted me there but that isn’t how felt at all! Disappointed. I hope it gets better for others.

I had my first balayage done today by Brinna at lavender salon, and I will be returning! From the second I walked through the door I was comfortable and relaxed. My hair turned out 10 times better than I thought it would. Do yourself a favor, and book an appointment here!
