HI has been providing companion care for my parents for several months. Their staff have been excellent - caring, attentive, and very patient. The care provided has enabled in-home consistency, a VERY beneficial component of elder-care services, for both the individual needing the direct care and the (in this case) spouse care provider. We have been thrilled with the services provided and flexible scheduling.
Rikki is the best thing that could have happened to Mom and us. We only have to ask her once to do something and she immediately adds that to her daily/weekly routine. She gives Mom her full attention and it's not difficult to see that she is very compassionate. My husband and I trust her completely which allows us some one on one time away from the house. Thank you Home Instead for providing us with such a wonderful caregiver!
My grandmother (83) is very intelligent but her short term memory is shot. Alicia understands that comprehension and retention are not the same and knows how to speak to her without belittling her. She goes the extra mile to do things around the house without being asked and is receptive to constructive advice on caring for my grandmother. We are so grateful to have Alicia on our care team!
