Golden Wood is the best place in Chambersburg to board your dog. We have a high anxiety, high maintenance rescue dog who just recently became the only dog in our family. We have previously boarded all 3 of our dogs here and they have always done an outstanding job of keeping us updated on our pups while away.
This time was no exception. It’s always reassuring to know that your pet is being taken care of while away.
Thank you to all the wonderful staff at Golden Wood for taking care of Fife ( along with Cooper and Stella) and giving him the extra care he needs.
My cat, Toby was well taken care of when I went on vacation for 2 weeks.
He was taken care of very well, even if he was very loud and used his voice a lot.

We decided to make a last minute trip and our regular boarding facility was booked because it was the 4th of July weekend but Golden Wood got us right in. They took wonderful care of our dog, you can tell she really enjoyed her time there. The staff was all very sweet and knowledgeable. The kennel is super clean and nice.
The only downside (which is very minor) is that they charge extra for a picture/update each day. With it being our first visit we got 2 pictures/updates for free. I get why they up charge for things like extra walks, group play, extra treats- because it’s a business but with the price of boarding an animal I think a picture/update should...read full review
