I'm honestly surprised by some of these reviews. I came here after my husband had a good experience and it's close to my house. I can't speak to color as I did not have any done. What I did have my first haircut in over 2 years and I couldn't wait to get in the chair. Everyone was friendly and polite. Dani asked what I wanted done, reconfirmed how much length he was talking off - and also showed me visually to make sure we were on the same page - and asked how I wanted it styled afterward. I received exactly the cut and styling I requested and it was pleasantly quick. (I don't enjoy sitting in a stylist's chair for hours and hours). I will absolutely return for another cut and would recommend Evolve without hesitation.

Do not recommend!!!! Dani did a very poor job on my color. Was not what I asked for at all and when I went back to get it fixed he did such a lazy job and it still looks terrible!!!!! He was on his phone the whole time outside and made it pretty clear he didn't want to be there. Not to mention he cancelled on me twice!!! I got a call the day of my appointment and they said he "had didn't feel good" I reschedule for the next day. Then when he did a crap job on my hair I went back the next week. He cancelled on me again that same day "he had a family emergency ". Seems sketchy and very unprofessional!

paid over $100 to apparently only “reserve” my spot then paid over $200 there. was there an hour and a half only got baylage. the dresser was more concerned about his phone than my hair the entire time, and walked outside four times during the entire appointment to smoke. he didn’t even finish my hair, he had another lady come and wash and dry it while he sat in an office. unprofessional, WAY overpriced, and simply rude. will never go back.Service: Balayage

I got my hair done by Dani ~4 years ago. I loved it so much that even though I moved to MA, I chose to get my hair done again by him when I was in the area visiting family. I was able to easily make a reservation with Dani, the owner, about a week in advance for a Saturday morning for balayage and a hair cut, should have been the first red flag for me. I hadn't gotten my hair done since before the pandemic so I was nervous going in and with all the red flags I was seeing initially when the appointment started, I thought I was just nervous but I should have listened to my gut and walked out. Someone initially put me in the chair and put the cape on. They told me to keep my winter parka jacket on because it's cold inside. The mats were worn down, it didn't look as nice as I remembered. I asked if Dani was doing my hair because that's who I booked with, and she said yes she's just getting me ready for him. I see Dani across the salon cutting someone's hair so I think it's going to be a wait. The next few minutes, he comes over to ask what I want to get done. I told him balayage and cut. For the balayage, he asked me what exactly I wanted. I said I wanted to go lighter but not yellow and I want it to look good as it grows out. He asked for a picture so I pulled up some quickly on Pinterest. He asked me how short, I asked how much does he think I need to get off to get rid of my dead ends. He shows me ~2 or 3 inches so I say to take one more inch off too. Next thing I know, he comes over with scissors and pulls all my hair to the back and chops it off. He then starts the balayage on my hair without even brushing it or asking how I style it, or if I have any product in my hair (I didn't but what if I did!). He finishes so fast and leaves me for ~45 minutes. In the mean time, he's cutting and dying everyone else's hair in the place. All the other employees are mixing color or toner, washing hair, styling hair after the cuts/color, seating clients, cleaning up, etc. Someone else does the toner for me, as with every other client, and brings me back to the chair. She asks if I need a cut, which I say yes to because again, he didn't even brush my hair and just chopped some off quickly before. Dani comes over and shows me how much he will cut (less than half an inch), but I'm turned from the mirror now so I can't see how short it is already. I say okay and to cut it the same length around no layers. He proceeds to cut my hair not taking into account how I part it, assuming I have a middle part by matching the left/right lengths by pulling all the hair in the front straight up to cut. Another woman styles it after the cut, again I can't see and am turned from the mirror. She pulls hard on my hair while styling it, which can damage your hair! She finishes with Dani applying the dye and cutting every other client's hair whenever not actively dying or cutting mine. He comes over and tells me to turn my hair upside down and he brushes out all the curls the woman did, turns me around to the mirror. I'm in shock and call it pandemic social anxiety or just awkwardness, I say I like it and leave. $290 later, I get to the car and cry. He chopped so many inches off my hair, way more than I asked for, did not consider how I styled it when cutting which leads to an awkward length on some of the hair on the side I part it to, and did not consider how I styled it nor even brushing it before with the coloring leading to two large streaks of color on the same side as the awkward lengths. You pay luxury prices for an inattentive stylist who is doing too much to remember what each client asked for, and who does everything as fast as possible. I'm heart broken. Go somewhere else, not here. See the pictures of how my hair looked after coloring, the hair after, and the length of my hair ~1 month before the appointment. Love the vibe and atmosphere at this salon. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Dani is a super talented stylist and is the owner of this wonderful spot.

I chose this salon as I am a fan of Aveda. Yes, service was initially friendly and welcoming but I was extremely disappointed with the hair color I received. I was quite specific of what I wanted and even showed pics of what I expected. Even though I asked for full head foils (which I know would have been at least an hour + to do), Dani insisted on a “new technique” as it would be better for my hair - which was basically a free hand balayage which he whipped thru in 10 min. I then realized he is the only qualified color stylist in the whole salon, and was trying to service about 5 clients at the same time. He has other people to do the little jobs like wash, blow dry, and even do the glaze/toners. I only saw one other girl who seemed to just do cuts. So his focus was all over the place, including many smoke breaks and chats on his cell phone. I ended up with a color nothing like we discussed. I asked for rose gold highlights and it ended up being bright red like a clown wig. Even though he fixed it, he insisted I had showed him a pic of orange hair (I said rose gold repeatedly). I never had a worse experience, ever.
