We've been using this office for about 4 years now and it would have been nice of them to notify current patients of the office relocation. Most businesses that run by appointment notify their customers/patients of location changes because that is the professional thing to do. This is the only reason I am giving 4 stars.“

37 Brookwood Ave, Carlisle“I'd highly recommend this business. I was traveling through the area on my way to visit family and friends. I came from central Texas, so I was pretty far from home. During our drive here, both of my pairs of glasses broke. The temples on each pair came apart near the joint. I found Hartzell online, and stopped in on Monday to see if they could be fixed. The woman who was working there couldn't not have been more friendly, polite, or helpful. Neither of my frames are currently made or in stock. That didn't stop her. She was able to find a piece in her spare parts that fit one of the frames. She glued the other. The whole process took less than 10 minutes. The kicker was that she didn't charge me. She said there was no charge for glue, or for spare parts. She wished me well, and sent me on my way. Nothing could have been done differently to make this experience any better. It was perfect, and I am very grateful! I'd leave ten stars if I could.“

The Carlisle Exchange Optical Department is proud to continue the excellent service it has been providing for years! We are dedicated to offering friendly, knowledgeable support—whether you’re selecting the perfect pair of glasses, getting a quick adjustment or repair, or placing an order with your prescription.
While we do not have a doctor onsite, you’re welcome to bring in a valid prescription for glasses or contacts, and we’ll be happy to assist you. You can also bring in your own personal frames—even if they weren’t purchased from us—as long as they’re accessible and able to safely hold new lenses.
We proudly serve both military and civilian families, and we accept a variety of insurance plans. No appointment is necessary—walk-ins are always welcome! We are open Monday through Saturday, and closed on Sundays.
As the Optical Manager, Kay Wright, along with my part-time optician Christina Valentine, we are both willing, ready, and honored to serve our community. Whether you’re a service member, family member, or local resident, we would love for you to stop in and experience optical care done with excellence and heart.
