Horrible horrible customer service, woman at the front desk repeatedly kept hanging up on me after I asked her to stop hanging up, the worst thing i’ve ever experienced from a business

Mariama created a peaceful environment. She was quick to listen if I wanted any areas massaged harder or softer. I feel amazing after stepping out from her care!

I was a member at this hand and stone for several years and stopped for a little more than a year because cost of membership has nearly doubled since I first joined. I thought that would indicate improved services and better perks but it looks like they’re making a lot of cut backs, making things “add-ons” for an additional charge that never used to to cost extra, and service has significantly declined.
Just had the worst facial - a one hour facial was less than 40 minutes, only my cheeks and forehead were given a facial, and I was laying in the room with nothing happening majority of the time I was there. My face also feels uncomfortable after I left. when I expressed my concerns to the front desk the staff were so unapologetic about the terrible services they’re charging so much for. If the full service isn’t received, then the full price shouldn’t be charged.

I got a “deep tissue” massage here around 2 weeks ago. Didn’t think anything of it because that was my first ever deep tissue. I just got another deep tissue at a different place and oh my god. It was most certainly a deep tissue massage, it made me realize how upset I am for what I paid for with hand and stone’s deep tissue. The massage I had there was nothing more than medium/firm pressure. The deep tissue I just got was extremely firm. She had to work for 20 mins on one singular spot on my shoulder blade to get the knot out. That same knot was not even found at hand and stone. Very disappointed with the extra cost of the deep tissue if it’s going to be the same as a regular Swedish. Also want to add the massage I got just recently is the same price as hand and stones 50 min deep tissue added on ($5 more and was 55 instead of 50 mins) and got way more quality for my money.

I had an amazing experience with Paul! He really took the time to target all of my problem areas and made sure I was comfortable throughout the session. I literally got off that table feeling like a million bucks. You can tell he knows exactly what he’s doing, and I left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and pain-free. I highly recommend asking for Paul if you’re looking for a massage that truly makes a difference!

I had a fantastic experience! Alex was so kind, patient, and made me feel very comfortable. It was just what a tired teacher and Mama needed to relax!

I booked three deep tissue massages and was told we would receive an introductory rate of $79. I thought, wow thats wonderful! However after we all had our massage, I was charged an additional sum because we supposedly received deep tissue massages. Which I understand, but why was I quoted, and re-quoted when I confirmed the three appointments, a lower sum? First red flag!! Now let’s talk about the massages and why I will never step foot in a Hand and Stone again. One massage, received by my daughter, was an amazing deep tissue massage! The second massage, I received, was a Swedish Massage, not a deep tissue!! Although, the masseur gave a very good Swedish massage, I scheduled a Deep Tissue because I needed a deep tissue! The third massage was for my sister, who has been through some of the toughest times of her life over the past 2 yrs. And of course she received the worst massage of her life. When we left, my sister asked me if this branch of Hand and Stone was licensed!!! because the massage she received could not have been completed by a licensed professional!! I told her my massage was a Swedish Massage, and my sis said, she would have been happy with even a Swedish Massage, but this was a nothing massage. So, this tells me you all have a 1 out of three chances of receiving what you ask for at Hand and Stone. I’ll never return!!!!

The massage I had with Kendra sucked. I did not feel relaxed at all. She used her knuckles for most of the massage and when I asked her to use less pressure it felt like she was just rubbing the oil into my skin, no massage whatsoever. I left with a sore back.. now I know not to book with her for a massage in the future.
