Wonderful people and I highly recommend Bridgeport Veterinary with full confidence. They treat my baby his whole life or 7 years. The atmosphere is so calming for parents and fur babies alike. We switched vets because this is much closer to our home. So far every visit has been smooth and also affordable! Our chow Sandy had a dental with 11 teeth removed…much needed! We plan on switching the rest of our crew over as well! One important factor I love is they require you to call when you arrive. I have a dog reactive lab so this will be a less stressful future visit for me and him! Great practice experience so far! Thank you for treating Sandy with all the care she deserves!

I am extremely disappointed in Bridgeport Veterinary Hospital. I made an appointment for my dog. They told me I needed to pay a deposit and said they were open until 5pm to do so. I go a couple of hours later and then they said they already gave the appointment away. The appointment was a few days away, so it wasn't like I was late in any form. I find this highly unprofessional.

Bridgeport Veterinary, from the Reception desk to the Techs and Doctors, is exceptional. The entire team is friendly, knowledgeable, and honest, and the atmosphere is bright and clean. Everyone truly cares about your pets as if they were their own. I absolutely recommend them without hesitation!!

The best vet care hands down

Bad availability, bribing of emergency appointments and rude reception staff.

I went here for around a year or so and in the beginning was very happy with the service up until recently. The last few consecutive times when I called to try and make an appointment for my dog when he was sick I was told that there was no available appointments for the entire week. I ended up having to bring him into another vet in the area to be seen when this first happened to me. The last time I called was on a Monday at 8 AM and there was still nothing available for that whole week besides one appointment that did not work with my schedule. The reception desk will then, every time, constantly try to upsell the emergency appointments (which are almost double the price of a regular one) because they say my dog is sick and should be seen sooner than the far away appointment they have available. Vet offices should leave sick appointments available to their patients for the week and if none are available the office is clearly overbooking themselves with patients. Sad to say I definitely noticed a difference with costumer service and reliability and have to move to a new office that is reliable with appointments when my dog, who is a patient, is sick and a place that doesn’t try to bribe costumers because of their little availability.

This was our first visit here with my daughter's cat. While the cat didn't appreciate the male vet the vet tech was really nice to her. They said they would make a note on her file requesting a female Vet. :-)

I would like to give a shoutout to Jamie in boarding. We had our dogs Cali and Piper there last week and Cali’s first time boarding ever. Cali is 12 and has some anxiety . Cali was relaxed that they didn’t even need to give her anxiety med. Jamie went above and beyond to give us updates and pics. She is very responsive with returning emails. Thank you Jamie for all you do to keep our pups happy, we appreciate you. I highly recommend Bridgeport Vet for all your fur babies needs.

Bridgeport Veterinary Hospital is awesome. My shih-tzu’s full name is “Muppet the Fearsome War Beast.” Today he earned the moniker by exhibiting atrocious small-dog rage at his urgent vet appointment. There was biting. There was growling. I think he may have promised the apocalypse.

Despite this behavior, Corinne, Dr. McLahan, and the Bridgeport Veterinary Hospital staff did their utmost to minimize Muppet’s stress, give him treats, involve me in his treatment, speak to him gently, and work creatively to tend his acute ear infection. Their patience was humbling. They also taught me how to prepare my teddy bear-serker for a well-sedated follow-up appointment so that he can be treated with safe efficiency.

For anyone hoping to visit for the first time: The hospital is clean and spacious. The staff is friendly and more understanding than we deserved. Available care includes an array of services from emergency to non medical. We were seen the same day I called to make an urgent appointment, and were in and out very quickly. Costs were lower than I expected. As I write this review, I’m watching a smiling tech walk dogs in boarding around their grassy, fenced back yard. This truly is a wonderful place. Thank you to Corinne, Dr. McLahan, and the entire staff at Bridgeport Veterinary Hospital for caring for my little buddy like one of their own … even though he tried to herald Ragnarok.
