If you are interested in learning about music and instruments then I recommend visiting George's Music in Berwyn and getting to know Wayne and Matt. I visited from Philly to buy an acoustic guitar and was not disappointed since they had a very good selection of brands other than just Gibson and Fender. And there are so many great brands of guitars out there. I found what I needed which was this Alvarez electric acoustic thanks to Matt and Wayne who were patient with me to try it out and answer my questions and also gave me a very good price for it. I recently completed the acoustic guitar set-up workshop at the Spring City store and I highly recommend it for anybody who owns and plays an acoustic guitar.
The workshop duration was two hours, and it covered properly and safely adjusting the guitar neck for playability, removing the strings, cleaning and conditioning the fretboard, cleaning and polishing the frets, properly cleaning the guitar body, inspecting and tightening the hardware, restringing the guitar correctly and breaking in the strings, and proper guitar maintenance techniques between string changes and set ups. Gulio is a perfect teacher for me! At each lesson, he starts with “What’s going on with your music?” Whatever I say, he relates that to what we’ve been doing, & shows, tells & works with me to improve, to learn more & to keep enjoying the music 🎶 Liz
