“I highly recommend using Dr. Leah and Vital Health Chiropractic. I have been going to Dr. Leah since I had a horrible outcome from a hip replacement surgery in 2008 that left my right leg paralyzed from the anesthetic called a nerve block. This hip replacement left me with a ton of back and hip issues and pain. I was used to working out lots of hours including swimming laps (3000-5000 yards), weight lifting and aerobic classes. Once I was paralyzed during the hip surgery, I couldn’t even walk. It was a terrible experience. I went from working out 7 hours a day to zero. Prior to my surgery, I was pretty active and healthy . It was not only physically crippling, but it was mentally devastating for me. Dr. Leah came to my work place to do assessments and she had so much positive energy and confidence. She did an assessment on my hip and back. So I decided to give chiropractic care a chance.
Needless to say, I consider myself lucky to have found Dr. Leah and her staff and I am extremely grateful to all of them for everything they have done for me over the years. I would like to thank Dr. Leah for nursing me back to health. The important thing is I can walk again. Once I was able to walk again and after a couple of years of feeling sorry for myself, Dr. Leah helped me work up the courage to get back into the pool in 2012 and swim. She said even if I could swim 2 laps of the pool, it was better than nothing which is exactly what happened. But now I had something to look forward to going to the pool 3 times a week to keep my sanity and try to get healthy. The swimming pool has always been my happy place. She not only helped me with my physical injuries from the surgery, but she definitely helped me with my mental health as well, always encouraging me to try. She helped me gain the confidence to put a bathing suit on and get back into the pool. I will never forget the first time I swam after the surgery, I could barely push off the wall. But Dr. Leah said I would get better and I did, thanks to her chiropractic expertise.
With Dr. Leah and the entire staff at Vital Health Chiropractic, I am able to swim and lift weights again. And after years of not moving, I had put on a lot of weight, so I needed to work on that part of my recovery. I continued to see Dr. Leah as part of my routine care and rehab. Thank goodness I did ! I am much healthier now because of Dr. Leah. The important key here is that Dr. Leah never gave up hope that I would do things I wanted to again. She encouraged me and gave me the hope I needed to have the guts to try to swim and lift weights again. The other very important key is that Dr. Leah listens to her patients very carefully as part of their care. With her patience, knowledge and kindness I am much healthier today.
Fast forward to 2022 and I am now 61 years old, I am back to swimming 150 laps of the pool 6 days a week thanks to Dr. Leah and Vital Health Chiropractic. I cannot thank Dr. Leah and the entire Vital Health Chiropractic office enough for giving me my life and mental sanity back. I would also like to thank her staff, Jessica and Joel, who juggle all of my appointments and crazy schedule. They are amazing and wonderful people who care if people get better and are instrumental in the ongoing care necessary to gain success. And I would like to thank Dr. Greg for working on me when Dr. Leah was off on maternity leave and keeping my chiropractic care going. I appreciate all of you !”
