Bob did a excellent job refinishing my 18 year old walnut hardwood floors. They are absolutely beautiful and look better than brand new. I am very happy.

Bob turned our incredibly beat up floors into something beautiful! I can’t believe the transformation! On-time and very communicative. Highly recommend!

Floors didn't even last three months: Very nice man. He worked really hard. He was punctual and clean. And when he was done, the floor looked beautiful. Unfortunately, the floors have not held up. The photos below were taken THREE MONTHS after the floors were refinished. Much of the filler he put in the cracks between slats has come out. The surfaces of the slats also show significant scratching (he called it gouging since it was not through the finish) from my dogs' nails (granted, we have giant dogs). On the other hand, we waited the full time he suggested to allow the floors to cure before walking on the floors. Also, we are using the product (Bona) that he suggested. When we called him to come look at the floor, he basically said that the original boards and installation were not very good (the boards were loose) and that is what caused the problem. Although this may be true, he had the opportunity to inspect the floors before he accepted the job and he didn't mention that they would be worse than before he started after just three months of use. In some of the rooms that get very little use, the floors now are worse than before he worked on them because the water-based finish just does not hold up to our dogs' nails. He did offer to put more putty in the cracks, but we feel that if the original putty that he put in the cracks (and then added the finishing coat afterward) fell out, then just putting putty in the cracks at this point would not help. In the future, I would definitely use only oil-based finishes (which Hagelberger does not offer). We are sick that the floors look so bad so fast. We spent all that money and we probably will have to re-do the floors again. I hate to leave this type of review to such a nice man who was so hard working, but unless I was a little old lady who only wore slippers in the house and didn't have any pets, I would not do this again. I hate to give him this low of a review (because we really liked him), but every day I have to look at my destroyed floors as we can't afford to re-do them again.

Getting input from a professional is so appreciated. Bob was so accommodating. He met me at the flooring store to pick out the product. I took a piece of baseboard so I could make sure the colors would blend. My house is old enough that it has the wood baseboards. We ordered the product, he and his assistant delivered it to my house. Then I left for 10 days to visit friends and relatives. Upon my return, it was 90% done. I am thrilled with his workmanship and creativity. He created the transition pieces that go from the hardwoods to the other types of flooring. Bob is a true craftsman. Thanks for the beautiful floors that I enjoy every day.
