After almost two years of chronic pain, two MRI's, six cortisone shots and an ablation in one meeting Nichole Bangs diagnosed correctly my issue. I have had SI joint dysfunction. Finishing my sixth week of PT and got a cortisone shot in the correct spot for once. Hope it all works but I know now where the focus is for any future procedure. Thanks so much
I'm from out of town and went to Oregon Spine for a 2nd opinion. On the first visit I learned I had 2 ruptured disks, not just the one from 25 years ago. Dr. Tatsumi gave me a game plan that made perfect sense: Address both problems in one surgery and be done with it. Tatsumi fused the lowest lumbar disk, and put an artificial disk in at the adjacent level (those are not covered by insurance). The surgery went perfectly. I'm 8 weeks out, and I have not felt this good in 25 years. I feel like my old self again! Every step of the way, the entire staff was on task, and had answers and results right away. Excellent practice, expertly operated. I dealt with chronic back pain from a high school sports injury for over 20 years, before experiencing severe mobility issues, intense nerve pain and ultimately loss of sensation and function of my legs. I got in touch with Dr. Tatsumi’s office after he came referred to me by my primary care physician (he did her emergency PLIF 10 years ago), and my DPT at whole body health (also a great PT clinic) who has seen many of his patients who have had awesome outcomes.
