I got my start in taekwondo with USWC Taekwondo and earned my black belt with master Jang and master Alicia. They are incredible mentors, martial artists and people.
I went on to compete in taekwondo during college and graduate school. I did some coaching and refereeing and got to work with some of the best sparring athletes in the country. It is a huge part of my life and the community is fantastic. You are never too old to start, come back, compete and be involved. Taekwondo is a global sport that can take you to many places. Our grandson has been taking these classes for a while and he's currently a purple belt. He really enjoys it and he's doing great. Alicia is an excellent teacher. I joined the new adult class starting in April and I'm definitely continuing. It's been a lot of fun and a good workout.
Master Alicia is a wonderful instructor! I've taken my grandson to one of his weekly classes with her for the past year and was always impressed by her balance of discipline and kindness with kids of various ages and abilities. When the school offered an adult class last month I signed up, and can report that Alicia is just as fantastic with adults as with kids! She really pays attention to individuals and offers the right amounts of correction and encouragement. Also, the studio space is nice and equipment is in excellent condition. Overall, a great place to learn Taekwondo!
