😊 I called several "gutter installation" companies, local to Portland, Oregon, in order to get a few positive companies to give me an estimate on putting gutters on my backyard gazebo 12'x14' (4 side lengths, plus 1 downspout). If you think that because I live in Portland, there is a lot of rain, you would be correct! I was hoping to re-direct the onslaught of rain water that usually comes throughout the year, but particularly in the winter and spring months. The rain that lands on the cement surface under the intended gazebo, then brings on the green mold and plenty of bugs. So now you know my reason for the search! More than you wanted, no doubt. After calling at least 3 companies, I only got a fairly rapid response from Living Hope Roofing! The other two did not call for more than a week, and by then, I felt that Living Hope Roofing was going to be my company to use. T.J. Norton was very swift in coming out to the site! We went over the obvious placement of the gutters and did have a more detailed conversation regarding the one downspout placement. He was there for about an hour, said he could get to the job the following week, gave a firm price, and was right on time for his crew of two, for the date agreed upon. While the installation was being discussed, color was also a part of this work. The color to match the house was not available (I decided I will paint it, especially since it is only a 12'x14' gazebo, with 4 sides and one downspout.), so didn't feel it was really a problem. Two young men arrived on time, as stated, and were almost finished with the job, while I was absent for an outside appointment. Since Orlando was the lead, when I returned, I had a question for him. Since I did get there before they were totally finished, I asked if it might be possible to add another out-building--"two side lengths" and two more downspouts" to this small building. Without batting an eye, he said, "Let me check." Orlando immediately called TJ, and got the permission to complete this small added job, but to me, is was an important job! I was impressed. They finished the total two areas, and picked up any materials that were left from the install. Orlando was very supportive and we had a good chat about the work just completed. I thanked them both, and said the gutters look great--and now, no more mess from water pouring all around the base of the gazebo. I received a call from TJ, regarding the additional work, and its cost to me. When he quoted the added cost, I felt it was a bit high for what it actually entailed, and said that it would make me feel a bit better if we could adjust the added amount by $100--to which he agreed! While this review is probably a bit longer than most, it is important to let others, searching for a great company, who offers an outstanding product, and caring, quality employees, I just can't say enough for Living Hope Roofing!! We are very happy we used Living Hope for our roof repair. It was reasonably priced and there were no surprises about the final cost of repair. They were also responsive and got the job done quick. Would highly recommend!
