My daughter sees Marissa and i am more than impressed with her patience and kindness with my daughter. I love that she is always open to my hundreds of questions and she really breaks stuff down so I’m able to understand it clearly. As a teacher and classically trained singer I use my voice more than most. It made hearing news I had a polyp on my vocal chord hard to handle since it directly changed how I could do both. After surgery in 2017 I ended up developing nodules in 2019. I turned to Leah at Sensible Speech since my surgeon told me I would need to try and change my vocal habits and care to avoid another surgery. I met with her in June after school got out and with 7 weeks of therapy I checked in with my surgeon and my nodules are almost completely gone! He said he doesn’t usually see this much change in such a short period of time. My therapy was easily fit into my day and Leah was a great support with all of the questions and concerns I had as I have been getting ready to enter back into the school year. While I know I can successfully continue the vocal care routines I now have in place, I also know I can contact Leah with any questions I have as go through the school year. Speech therapy as an adult was something I never thought I would need, but I was in great hands and would recommend Leah at Sensible Speech to anyone who finds themselves in my situation!
