If you are looking for an old fashioned traditional barbershop then look no further. Marty is buy far the best barber in the Portland area. No non sense and great prices. Just moved here from LA and stressed I wouldn't find a good barber. The Hungry Hardhat isn't stressed anymore... So let it be written... So let it be CUT.

This place is old-school alright, in that the straight razor isn't a novelty to them and their range of cuts was set in stone 50 years ago. I go here for a haircut. I leave with a haircut. It's like magic. The only thing I wish they had was the self-aware grumpy banter I used to get from Paul down the street, but he got replaced by the hipsters at Too Sweet. If you want a fussy "style" and the metrosexual manliness of a straight razor and beard-primping, they'll hook you up. My secret is to not go there, not get disappointed, and not leave a bad yelp review. Imagine!
