Went to the adult retina clinic to see Dr. Lujan. One of the best hospital experiences I have ever had (I have multiple chronic illnesses and I’m a heavy hospital user) From the moment I walked in, I felt seen and taken care of. The PAS in the front office was so warm and wonderful. The physician assistant that dilated my eyes and walked through the process was amazing. The tech that did my retinal scan was a hoot. Dr. Lujan is so knowledgeable and has amazing bedside manners. He explained everything so clearly and answered all my questions. Everything was so great, I left the clinic feeling like I got my answers for my extremely rare genetic retinal issue.

This place takes quite a while, for good reason they are thorough with their work when it comes to this upcoming generation. Our kids deserve to see as well as possible and the doctors here take their time to access the sorce of the problem from within and find a way to help even when it seems like hope is all lost my daughter was diagnosed with this clinic before they opened their childrens branch and I can say after 10 years of coming here for my daughter it has only gotten better. They have a massive waiting room that is very friendly for children. They are very patient and understanding with children on the spectrum and will move and work in the craziest angles so your child is most comfortable for the most accurate diagnosis possible. My daughter gets a new prescription for her glasses every year here and she is always comfortable when speaking to her Provider about what she can and can't see and what will make it better. This is normally hard for her but with these people they make it a lot easier for her to be comfortable enough to speak for herself.
