BJ, the owner, is an absolute gem! I came all the way from Chicago to have a pedicure with her when I visited my parents, and if I could teleport BJ to the Windy City once a month so I could see her regularly I surely would! I had far, far and away the best experience I've ever had at a nail salon, complete with expert treatment and a wealth of experienced advice (which I asked for) that I use every day now, and my feet have never been so happy and healthy! The atmosphere here is quiet and relaxing, with all the friendly informality and comfort of a neighborhood spa. BJ is caring, professional, generous, extremely skilled, and fun to be around. Services are an excellent value, and as we all know, it's now almost sandal-season, so get going and treat yourself! I should add that BJ has been caring for my mother's feet, including some problematic issues, for many years, and has done such a good job that my dad now goes to see her too. (The fact that a "good-old-fashioned guy" like my dad would be so impressed with how well my mother was taken care of that he would start getting regular pedicures himself speaks to the outstanding care they both receive on the regular!) Now that I've gotten to know BJ and her business at Laurelwood too, I wish I hadn't waited so long, but...I'll certainly be back! Portland, you've no idea how lucky you are! Thank you, BJ!

I was looking for a decent place that does mens pedicures. Called Laurelwood, and they far out performed any of the others. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for professional services. BJ rocks and is professional, cordial, and does a remarkable job. They do not disappoint.

I had a mani and pedi with BJ today. She was very sweet and patient and did a great job on my nails. She even gave me a couple of her polish that she didn't need anymore to take home with me! The price was very reasonable, too. She didn't even accept a tip. Will definitely go back.
