Price gouge and won't take cc's. It's one thing to adjust prices but it quite another to hike prices $5/month siting inflation then eliminate credit card usage. I see why it's never busy anymore and why Adore salon remains the neighborhood favorite. Sorry Lace - price gouging in a tight market isn't how you retain customers.
Listen to the reviews here. The ladies working were very nice. But the service was not worth the money. I went in for a manicure/pedicure with gel polish. I was out from both services in less than an hour. They were rushed and no attention to detail. I left feeling like I still needed a pedicure. So Sad. I could have done a better job on myself at home. Additionally, during my time there they had to turn away 4 people that had booked appointments online. They didn't have them down in there book upon arrival. All women were very upset but extremely graceful despite the situation. I also got an eye brow wax. And the woman took off the end tip of my brow. I wanted to cry because now my brows are uneven. She proceeded to give me a $5 discount and still charged me $15 for service. I am not one to make a big deal and be a "Karen" when I am upset by lack of care in a situation like this. So I paid and still tipped her. I just felt so sad about my poor uneven brows. One is seriously longer than the other now. That will take me time to correct. I will not be back to this salon. With so many other options in the area. I will spend my money more wisely.
I enjoyed getting pampered her by May and company. What a cute, stylish and clean salon. And the prices weren't bad either. It's always such a treat to find a place like Lace Beauty. As a man, I enjoy getting some self care and grooming every now and then and it places like LB that always fit the bill. I like this little gem because it's close to home, it's convenient and they have great hours. Check them out next time you are visiting the Pearl district. Tell them James sent you, and you can't go wrong.
