Was sitting here talking with my mom about when she first was diagnosed with ms and doctor Smoot was her neurologist. I was 10-11 when she got diagnosed and Iād always go to her appointments with her. Smoot if you read these my mom was Megan and you were one of her favorite doctors. I remember being excited to go to your office because your colleagues had put cats all over your door as a joke š If anyone else is reading this review I highly reccomend this man as your doctor he does amazing work and really helped me to understand what my mom was dealing with at the time :)
I have only begun to see Dr. Kyle E. Smoot, my first appointment was at the end of March 2021, he was sure to get me in promptly after being newly diagnosed, with Multiple Sclerosis, my sister came along with me to the appointment and we were both impressed with his thoroughness.
Dr. Smoot started me on the Ocrevus infusion as soon as I was able to. As I write this it is August 9th, 2021 I have already received the 1st and second half of my first infusion. I feel very lucky to have Dr. Smoot as my Neurologist.
Dr. Smoot has awesome bedside manner with his patients. He generally does his best to help.
My only complaint is that he is extremely busy and usually has his medical assistants do a majority of his paperwork and all of his phone calls. This generally causes lack of effective communication with patients as the medical assistants expect patients to be near their phone at all times. I've requested communication via MyChart only as this is about the only way to get contact with me during my workday, yet they continue to leave me voicemails versus emails. This causes me to not get the assistance needed in a timely manner.
