Received a gift card for this local, healthy nail spot. A few notes. Listen to the recording when you book so you can find it. I walked around the outside building in the rain for 10 minutes. It’s tucked away on the 2nd floor, although it does face 10th Ave. Bathroom equally hard to find, and outside, with no TP.
It’s got hip, PDX vibes written all over it. I usually trim my own nails to ensure a square, even effect. I was hoping for a $66 pedi I wouldn’t have to.
Not much to say, share. Regular chair, no massager, cold copper bowl. Awkward foot placement. Lack luster exchange. Glad it’s over and hoping I have time to grow out before a trip.
First, this place is sort of hidden. Don't go off of the address alone because you'll be left standing in front of a locked building with no signage to direct you to the back of the building (on the next block over.) Secondly, this is a very small place. You sit in what feels like a reception area and they bring a bowl of soapy water over to you (no pedicure chair or bubbling bowl.) Third, I paid close to $100 (with tip) for a very basic pedicure. The polish looks very good, but I've had much better experiences for half of the price elsewhere. I won't be back.
Amber has been doing my nails for well over a year at this point in time, and she's the first person I've consistently returned to in my entire life. I feel very comfortable pointing out any flaws I see, and she is always willing to take the time to fix the things she sees and will go back and give a quick fix if there's an issue during the appointment with a coat on a nail. This salon is neurodivergent/sensory friendly, uses mostly vegan and/or cruelty free products, and I always get great compliments on my nails pretty much wherever I go!
