I came home at 10:30pm to find my houseguests who had left that morning had somehow accidentally locked me out of my house. I stayed with neighbors for the night and called East Portland Locksmith as soon as they opened at 8am. Tim came out within a half hour, lubricated my deadbolt key hole, and figured out what the cut of the key should be. He made me a key and tested it out before heading out on his way. Great service: fast, fair, friendly. I brought in some random key fobs for a Fiat 500e (not exactly the most common car on the road) -- like some crazy person -- and they did their best to get those cut and programmed for me. When it turned-out those could not be reprogrammed (my fault), they actually had some fobs for the vehicle, in the store, and took the time to cut and program those, at a reasonable price. Not only did they do the work, quickly, they took the time to explain everything -- how the programming works, why the fobs I brought in couldn't be reprogrammed to the car, etc. Old-school service and friendliness.
I broke my front door key off in the lock. They were able to make me copies of the key with just the blade portion. They also recommended some lubrication products for the lock to avoid future issues. Thanks guys!!
