The pace of a 10 session treatment plan melded with the details Martha provides during sessions helps to create a mental image of her tailored treatments. I completed a 10 session course and came away free of significant hip pain, but most importantly I gained detailed knowledge about how my body, muscles, tissues, bones and energy work and thus established some foundational self-care habits to keep me better aligned. Martha is an excellent care-provider!

I've had three Rolfing sessions so far with Martha and I've noticed a difference in terms of how my body feels and moves, even with just three sessions. Martha is a very practical but sensitive Rolfer who has a deep knowledge of how the human body is built, as well as how it develops. I have found the "homework" very useful as she gives tips for each complaint I have. But there is no pressure and overall I feel very safe and comfortable working with Martha. She is also a good observer and caters each type of work to my body's needs. Can't wait for the next session!

Martha's approach to Rolfing is skillful, gentle, and deeply informed by her expertise in movement. She has also deeply studied how the brain and the nerves are involved with perception/sensation and movement. Martha is a Rolfing colleague of mine, and she is my preferred referral for SW Multnomah Village area (in addition to her close-in NE location). The clients who I have referred have been delighted with her help.

From Core Renewal Rolfing

It is deeply rewarding to help people feel, move and look better. With two decades of experience, I have developed skills to work with challenging cases and can modify my approach for nearly all age groups and levels of health. My touch is targeted to achieve maximum clinical benefits, yet is comforting to receive. Reiki, osteopathic, and functional neurology for bodyworker trainings have taught me the power of working in synch with your vital, internal healing forces to encourage, not force, change. We will work as a cooperative team to honor your body's unwinding and pacing into higher levels of organization and balance. Movement cues which will empower you to generate self-healing through efficient, organic motion.
