About Control Voltage
Control Voltage is the place for all your electronic music instrument needs. Providing a hands-on experience in their showroom in Portland, Oregon since 2012, with sales and support worldwide at controlvoltage.net. They live and breathe synthesizers, love to share their enthusiasm with others, whether that's chatting about the fine intricacies of a specific module or sharing their knowledge with someone just getting started in synthesis. Control Voltage is proud to be a meeting place for all to learn, make new friends, and grow as a community. Customers praise the friendly and helpful staff, the impressive selection of gear to demo and explore, and the events and workshops hosted by the shop. They appreciate the personalized service, even for those who don't live in the Portland area, and consider Control Voltage the only place they'll get any equipment or repairs.
I drove up from Eugene to check this place out and I was not disappointed. Definitely worth the drive! The staff was very helpful and their display of equipment was like a toy store for adults. It's nice to actually be able to get your hands on the gear before making a purchase decision. Good equipment isn't cheap and being able to see it in person and try it out is really gratifying. I'd much rather spend my dollars here than the big box stores that have nothing in stock but guitars. 5 star experience 👍
We came in with very little knowledge, but a desire to learn more. Guy was extremely friendly and helpful, and spent time teaching us about how electronic music is created, provided demonstrations, and gave recommendations for next steps. We left with an awesome piece of equipment and excited to come back soon!
Control Voltage is a fantastic synth shop. The space is laid out beautifully with great displays that make it easy and inviting to explore. The staff are genuinely friendly and knowledgeable without being pushy, which makes the whole experience relaxed and welcoming. I really love that you’re encouraged to actually play the instruments. Being able to spend time with the gear, hear it, and feel it for yourself makes all the difference. An excellent spot for both curious newcomers and serious synth lovers alike.
