Maybe not the usual way a business gets a review but a review was earned none the less. I called about a pitpull having some issues. A genuinely friendly, knowledgeable and compassionate woman spoke to what I described and offered an alternative course of action other than bringing my dog in. I am truly grateful for her recommendations.

I’ve been taking our pets to Barbur Vet for the last 5 years. It’s taken me this long to write and realize the impact and the care they bring everyday, because today, we had to let our sweet boy Meeko pass. Not only did Dr. Alex and her team help us through this transition, but they advocated and fought for us the best they could. They gave us information in a straightforward way, and I’ll never be able to fully tell them what they did for us. One of their own even made crochet hearts to give to people when it’s time. We’ve put it with the rest of our little offrenda for our sweet guy.

I had a great experience at Barbur Vet. I brought in my cat Nicky, who had been limping and is not the easiest cat when it comes to vet visits, very anxious anti-social baby, so I was pretty anxious walking in. They saw us right away with no wait, handled him gently, and really tried to make him as comfortable as possible, which I appreciated so much.

The staff were kind, straightforward, and didn’t try to overcharge me like some clinics have in the past. They explained everything clearly and even sent us home with some Churu treats that Nicky devoured.

Overall, a really good vet clinic. I’d definitely bring Nicky back in the future.
