I was in need of a trim and looked up on Yelp the nearest barbershop to where I was. Barber-Q popped up and was fairly easy to find. Walked in and met Rosalyn. Explained what I wanted and got my haircut within 30 minutes. I tend to doze off and close my eyes when getting my haircut, but when she was done, I learned that she's been barbering almost 20 years. I also read a sign that they'll be relocating on April 3 to another location. I'd come back again if I'm in Portland in the future.
yo!!!! i found my new hair plug, there was this lady, i forgot her name but she blew my mind... the service was good, her touch was good, the location was great, the pricing and communication was excellent.. i had to give almost 50% tip because they deserved more than they charged. You won't regret. (I am a black male).
I was glad to find this one open & still in operation. I had been all over Portland, to find so many barber shops, I found listed, shut down permanently. I was wondering if anyone needs barber shops anymore. In preparing to come to Portland, I didn't have time to get a haircut. So while here, I composed a list from what I found on the internet. A chair was available immediately and the cut was excellent. It wasn't too short, like I get most other places. The place is relaxing & the service friendly.
