ADX (Art Design Xchange) is a collaborative maker space and community hub that hosts over 60 artists. The space is thriving with creative energy, inviting and open, with lots of cool artists using it as their studio. It is a great space for community, events, and making stuff, offering a one-of-a-kind Portland vibe. ADX contains studios for all kinds of makers, a wood shop, event space, and a gallery. The basic membership price of $75 a month for community use is reasonably priced for beginning an art journey. Members enjoy 24/7 access to the facility and a plethora of community insights and networking opportunities. ADX is a very LGBTQIA+ respectable and friendly place. The event space is truly special, with tons of lighting options, flexible music hookups, a super functional kitchen, and beautiful art all around. It is open and spacious, but still feels cozy and inviting. The staff are great to work with and huge supporters of creative things, doing everything to make events welcoming, accessible, and easy. Everyone should find at least one event, class, or workshop to attend at ADX.
most amazing community of all time
Visited there today and Blue helped us transform an antique twisted table leg into two unique candlestick holders. We had never been to ADX before and were impressed. A wide range of artists create from ADX with art displayed in the entry lobby of which artists are giving donations. This is all going on while ADX also has a community outreach focus offering events worth checking out!
