I recently had to visit the ER early on a Sunday morning around 5 AM, and from the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the exceptional level of care I received. The staff got me in immediately and began a series of thorough tests, including urine analysis, blood work, a CT scan with dye, and an ultrasound. By 10:30 AM, they had already scheduled surgery. Having to visit the ER today because the urologist won't see me in the office. The receptionist said that it would take 20 minutes to be seen. Triage was ok but after a long wait she finally acknowledged, with some reluctance, that it takes four hours to see a provider. So here I sit with painful bladder spasms, peeing in my pants and nobody cares. We used to recognize that our patients come first.

As a medical professional critical of most medical facilities these days and especially of the competitive hospital in the area due to two prior negative experiences with a family member I was pleasantly surprised and relieved with the recent experience I had with a different seriously ill family member. The care received from all the physicians, nurses and nurses aids both in the ER and the medical surgical unit has restored my faith in the system...at least one system. Everyone was so nice, attentive and caring. Thank you Providence...keep up the good work!
