My dog can be nervous and sometimes reactive in certain situations. Dr Dave has great knowledge and experience with these personality types. He takes the time to explain any health concerns so that you can understand; we never feel rushed. His team out front are always welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend Columbia Gorge Veterinary Clinic to anyone looking for animal care.

This is the best vet clinic ever. The front desk staff are so friendly and helpful and the vet staff are so knowledgeable. They have been so caring and supportive during my pet emergencies and very kind to my reactive dog. I highly recommend Columbia Gorge Vet Clinic!

We’ve been taking our pup there for the past couple of years and are so impressed with this clinic and with Dr. Dave! It was 3 o’clock on Friday afternoon when dog suddenly started coughing and hacking and we were concerned that he could be choking. This happened once before late at night and we ended up going to an animal hospital where they did an x-ray which revealed nothing and then told us if it didn’t resolve on its own they the next step would be general surgery! Dr. Dave explained that since our pup tends to eat grass, he could’ve gotten a seed behind his tonsils and that it could be remove it if necessary with simple sedation. He then gave him a steroid shot which greatly relieved his symptoms and sent us home with an antibiotic, explaining that if our pup had aspirated that he could end up getting a respiratory infection. He even gave us his number and said to call if we had any questions or concerns over the weekend. None of these issues/ options were explained to us or addressed at the animal hospital, where the bill was 5 times as much. Luckily the issue resolved on its own, but we were so grateful for the excellent care we received at CGV!

Such an amazing group of people! My son’s ferret, Noodle, suffered a pretty serious injury and Dr. Stauffacher was able to get him in right away. Amazing treatment and care. He spoke to me personally and answered all my questions with patience and understanding. His staff was absolutely wonderful as well. They truly cared about Noodle, and his recovery was their primary focus. We’re not out of the woods yet but he seems to be doing a lot better today!
