My daughter needed a root canal and crown and we spent hours calling dental groups in Oregon to find one that did IV sedation. We ended up talking to the staff at Erickson and they were so good about getting her in quickly for a consult and then a couple days later for the root canal and crown on the same day. A few places we called said they had a one-year wait for emergency procedures!!! The Erickson staff were outstanding in their professionalism and empathy for the whole situation. Everything wAs done in 1.5 hours and they kept me informed throughout the entire process. Nice place. Very friendly staff. Had a filling and a tooth pulled. They use needles, but do numb it first so you don't feel as much. The extraction was quick. Said it was done and I was thinking he was just starting to pull it.The filling went well also. My jaw did get tired but did like that insert they use to hold your mouth open.I'd like to say they need to give you more information on an extraction before hand. Had to sign a waiver and that made lots of questions. But since I got the paperwork then, who has time to think of the questions?

2 different experiences. The first visit in 2017 I came in for an exam after not seeing a dentist in 4 years. I was given a ridiculously thorough evaluation and left the office thinking this place was on another level.Unfortunately they were too expensive and I had work performed elsewhere.I got insurance that specifically covered this office and came back for another evaluation in 2022 hoping for a similarly thorough report.The 2022 evaluation was no different than any other dentist office. No fancy zoomed in pictures. Just me self reporting a minor problem with no in-depth evaluation as I had the first time.Overall a good experience, but if 2022 had been my first experience... read full review
