About Oregon Carports
Oregon Carports is a company that provides affordable carport solutions. The pricing is competitive, and the company offers a bargain option. Customers should be prepared to take on a more active role in the process, as they are responsible for much of the design and planning. The installation crew does not always speak English fluently, which can make communication difficult. However, the company's representative, Jose, is praised for his responsiveness and assistance. He is amazing to work with and answers all questions. The crew works fast, communicates well, and does really great work. They are friendly and work hard. Overall, customers report being very pleased and happy with the service and product, and many would highly recommend Oregon Carports.
Note: It all depends on Jose, he is the lynchpin of this company. Without Jose it would be 3 or 2 stars as just a so-so. But Jose is very rapid returning calls and emailing the best he can. The current wording in project emails around the courtesy call from the California headquarters people could lead to misunderstandings. Courtesy call does not, in reality, mean they’re just reaching out in a courteous way, to get in touch with property owner to ask what works best for owners' schedule. Courtesy call really means multiple frantic calls/texts in a row and texting while owner is busy at their job and they rush sudden dates by to accommodate their last-minute frantic management style of a few days. Courtesy call means the customer receives a 1-way scheduling transaction, specifically, customer must accept an install date that will occur less than 1 week after customer receives a call from the mfr company. Goodbye spring and summer vacations as you're just waiting. Also, the people never come to your property so all the design and knowledge of codes is on you. You may not realize the consequences of not building a frame here or there, and honestly, I would have saved more than $1,000 if someone would have pointed out that I would not be able to open my car doors without a frameout. Now, I have to have an expensive frame out after the fact. This is a sign of the lazy new way of doing business where it's all on the customer. Where not only are you the customer but you're apparently the engineer too, using your smartphone to "design" the very important structure you will be paying a lot of money for. The workers do not speak English so unless you speak Spanish, you cannot really engage on the spot with the technicians. It's a bargain company but be prepared to know the consequences of this choice you are making. Also the technicians flinged about 2 dozen bolts and sharp steel pointed schrapnel all over the driveway.
