I stumbled across layton retrievers by a simple google search. First thing I did was read the reviews. (Which were amazing) I decided to reach out and his program checked all the boxes for what I wanted for my bird dog. Fast forward I sent my German wirehair pointer for 3 months and it was absolutely the best investment I could have ever made for me and my hunting buddy. Greg does an absolute amazing job building the confidence if these young dogs with his years of experience and knowledge. I loved how I was able to also be apart of weekly training sessions. Greg and his staff are excellent dog trainers. Although we missed our pup when he was gone, we knew our pup was in good hands when he was with them. We loved going out to visit him and be watch him work. We would bring our kids out to work with him and he was always so encouraging and let them be involved. But I also knew I didn’t have the skill-set to e-collar train her on my own and her recall off-leash was abysmal, which was unsafe with a dog that’s so fast.Instead, Layton Retrievers helped her mature into a sweet girl who is eager to please. She’s still very independent and very goofy, but she’s now found her calling as a “duck dog”! She gets greater joy out of retrieving and...read full review
