I was looking forward to my dental experience at Canby Family Dental when I made the appointment.
Upon arrival, the experience was good and the hygienist was friendly. When it was time to review my charts, Dr. Chris was highly abrupt and had a distasteful bedside manner. He walked into the room and immediately began to share what was wrong with me, rather than introducing himself.
Additionally, before the visit, I had asked if they would like X-rays from a previous dentist (within last year), and they declined and stated they needed to take their own. Insurance did not cover the X-rays (as expected), and when I followed up with the dentist, they declined to write off the charge. During my visit, I tried to decline the full mouth X-rays, but the office said they were required to take their own for their team to clean my teeth, even though I had some taken at another office within the last year.
The office reported that I had six various cavities. Upon a second opinion at another clinic in town, there were none. From my experience, this dental team will make any small cavity (that can typically heal on at-home treatment) worth drilling! The office is a money grab. Be careful.
It was not a great experience, and I highly recommend going elsewhere in town or out of Canby.

Been going there for years. Doctor Chris and Doctor Kay’s skills are nothing short of perfection. They restore teeth that other dentists say are beyond repair and tell you they have to be pulled. They don’t make you feel bad about bad teeth. They just restore your teeth to a youthful beautiful smile. I can’t say enough about them and once you go to them you will never go anywhere else.
