Charged $995 for a relatively simple individual return (common schedules) and info provided up front in full. That cost is representative of 11 MAN HOURS at $90/hr. with a new “staff CPAâ€. Seriously? This after I filled out the most detailed tax prep booklet I've ever done. I also organized and detailed out every single receipt for them to plug in their program. Part of the charges (is for 1040es prep) they didn't do (or forgot to finish) until I asked where it was a week before it was due.
