I had to take my pup in to get a growth removed on his back. Everyone was very nice, and was happy to answer all of my questions regarding diet, fleas, allergies, even though that's not what we came in for. The procedure went flawlessly. My dog usually gets very very nervous at the vet, but here, he was actually excited to go in, and went with the vet to the back (without me) with zero issues. When we returned to get his stitches removed, he acted the same way! He had no issues recovering, no infections! For such a sensitive boy, I was shocked at how happy he was to be there. Brookswood vet saved our 16 year old schnauzers life last week! Our schnauzer has a heart murmur and really bad teeth, but every other vet would not put her under anesthesia due to the risk factors and they also required a separate appointment with a cardiologist.Our dog began bleeding profusely from her teeth, we took her in to Brookswood to see Dr. Cloud. The wait was maybe 3 minutes. We thought we would need to put our dog down that day, that they couldn't do surgery. Dr. Cloud assured me that we just needed to grab blood work and they could do a special X-Ray to check her heart. Even so we were new patients they got us in quickly, and were very understanding of my concerns. Dr. Cloud took much time to go over everything regarding our pet and what our options were. I never felt pressured or rushed. In order to make the right decision I felt very informed after all the information given. She was extremely thorough, and compassionate.The next visit we met with Dr. Montanas who was equally as kind, informative and took as much time as we needed. I can't express how grateful I am to the both of them with the outstanding care our dog was given. I can't recommend highly enough.
