“Dr. Luce has taken care of my eyes since I was a child. Every time I come in, he first asks me how it's been - - then he listens, trusts you, and tries to figure out what is going on. This time I mentioned dry eyes, and he took a magnifying glass to look the edges of my eyelids and saw that my meibomian glands were swollen. Something I had never heard of, but that I could do an easy massage to help with. And that's the other thing, he is so patient and will repeat himself or try to explain what he said if you want to understand - - or even want to learn something! I always leave the clinic a little more knowledgeable than when I arrive, and with a warm feeling from the patience and care of Dr. Luce (Greg) and the staff.
Finally, Dr. Luce detected a subtle issue with my vision which no other opthomatrist has noticed (mild esophoria at close range, right eye). The glasses he gave me to correct this made my studies and later my work life so much better in a way I didn't even ask for because I just thought it was normal to get tension headaches from reading.
I've moved out of the state now, but this is still the clinic I visit! I have never found anywhere like it. it sounds like an exaggeration but believe me it's understatement.
