First and last time ever.
It was so bad I left 30 minutes into a one hour massage.
1. I waited 15 minutes on the massage table before having to get someone despite making a reservation . Okay, I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt whether it be short staff, over booking, etc.
2. Unfriendly/ no apology for the delay, nothing. Again, benefit of the doubt, I didn’t need an apology for the delay, just a good, professional massage from a certified RMT.
3. My massage didn’t start with the soft, slow, getting the body acclimated to being touched by someone, it was straight to full on pressure, rapid and none fluid motion that felt like I was being “pawed...read full review
I had such high hopes for a relaxing nature spa massage in Beaverton, but sadly, my experience was anything but serene. To start, they insisted on payment upfront, which felt off-putting and transactional. Then, they had the audacity to force a $20 tip per person before the massage even began, adding insult to injury.
The massage itself was lackluster at best. The therapist seemed rushed and disinterested, and the pressure was inconsistent. To top it all off, they cut the massage short, leaving us feeling cheated out of the full 60-minute experience we paid for.
I left feeling frustrated, disappointed, and frankly, a bit ripped off. I cannot in good conscience...read full review
This is actually the same establishment called 'Nature's Massage Therapy' so I'm leaving the same review. I have/had been visiting here off and on for many years. But will no longer support this establishment. Overall you do get good massages here, and if you like deep pressure they'll do it. I can't say they really do different types like advertised, it's pretty much the same style no matter what. When they work, they do work hard. They have the typical issues you have at most ethnic, Thai/Chinese massage places -- Frequent stops during your session to answer phones or talk with walk-in customers, usually it's not too bad so I ignore it and it rarely effected the actual time given, sometimes losing a few minutes or sometimes they compensate. Rooms and bathroom are clean and well kept. They'll bring in a space heater if it's too cold. Easy parking, few spots out front with ramp, also on street, and more spots behind the building. Pricing is average for either an hour or hour and a half sessions. I always tip well, usually 40%-50%, which by most standards is generous. In previous sessions I had never been pressured or asked for more tip money (common with these small run establishments). I usually worked with Lisa and she was always pleasant. Last time I worked with Emily, she did work hard and gave a deep massage but there were two issues which really made the place look bad and poorly run. First - after about 20 minutes into our session she asked if I'd wait while she went and worked with a returning customer. What... who does this !?! I reluctantly agreed, what else was I going to do. So she leaves for 40 minutes, ugggh! She did make up for the time loss, so I just ignored it. Second - Despite the long break and few other stops to do whatever I did receive a decent massage. On my way out I tipped the usual. She looked at the cash and rolled her eyes and said "is this all?" while motioning she wanted more. I actually didn't have much more money on me, but I gave her another ten and she continued to roll her eyes and sigh that it wasn't enough! So I'm done. I've had enough of this place. She really showed an ugly side to the business. Obviously the house doesn't pay or compensate them enough from the base rate, otherwise they wouldn't be so hung up on asking for tips way beyond acceptable. I understand that's where the bulk of their money comes from, but how much is enough?
