I am an extremely nervous, overweight, middle-age woman, and I felt comfortable from the minute I set foot in the barn. Terraka was patient, kind, and knowledgeable and the horses were all beautiful, clean, well groomed and bright-eyed.

Terraka, the trainer at Summer Glen, has been a mentor and inspiration to me for the last 8 years. Summer Glen has always been a happy, peaceful and joyous place for me. Terraka empowers her students to think as they ride in both Western and English disciplines and fosters their courage and independence through trail riding. Under Terraka’s guidance, I have completed a variety of incredible trips on one of her well-trained, healthy, and happy horses. The barn owner Russel is an absolute gem and takes wonderful care of all the horses. I wholeheartedly recommend Summer Glen.

Summer Glen Stables has been a sanctuary to go to for me and now my horse for these past couple of years. I have found deeply connected friendships in my time there. With not only the owners, but with the clientele that frequent this establishment. Barn social interactions can be a bit touchy, basically weird, when dealing with people and their egos. I have had my fill these past couple of years else where, to know how bizarre it can be. And difficult to navigate through. My experience at Summer Glen has been nothing short of feeling like an appreciated family member.
