Well, I have an older cat. They said he had cancer. I didn't believe it. I started researching and found he had all the symptoms of hyperthyroidism! I had a T4 test done and that's what it was, not cancer. I like this place though, and plan to stay with them. ☺️. They're pretty good. My kitty loves dr. Hewitt!

Saved my young dog. I drove two hours here as the vets in my area would not see us, but Bandon veterinary made room to see us immediately, diagnosed the problem and saved her. Very grateful, thank you!

First visit, I like these folks, no bad vibes on the info given. Finally found My Vet since moving to the area. Took a while to get in from waiting list but I believe it will be worth the wait.

I wholeheartedly recommend Bandon Veterinary Hospital . Their clinic is 'Appointments only' which means the atmosphere is calm, run by the kindest receptionists and support staff one could hope for, which is perfect for my anxious dog and myself. I would love to see Dr. Hewitt more often (if that didn't mean my pup was needing special care) as Dr. Hewitt provides such truly interested and also sensitive veterinary service. I appreciate Dr, Hewitt's generous inviting and answering my questions from her experienced knowledge bank, then honoring whatever I deem best for my dog's health. I'm so thankful to have found Dr. Hewitt and the Bandon Veterinary Hospital. I'd give more stars if I could!

My experience was that I took my best friend of 16 years my loyal companion Nubby to there office alive and when I left with her she was dead I felt rushed to make a decision to have surgery and my dog was alive when doing surgery and when I came back she was dead I have had two bad problems with them the first a handful of years back the woman vet there misdiagnosed my dog said he had cancer and suggested most put them down well I did not and found out he had a blood clot that went away had I put my dog to sleep it would have been for no reason second time I took my beloved best friend of 16 years there and she was bleeding internally from unknown reasons and she was alive and walking not dead and the woman vet suggested that it was her spleen bleeding and they could do surgery for 1300 hundred dollars I did not want to do it but it was suggested that my dog would only live a day our 2 she had no idea it was a assumption well she wanted to take lunch it was more important then my dogs life so she rushed me into making a decision for surgery and my dog was alive when she took her and 3 hours later I was getting her body from them all she could say was she lost to much blood yeah she let my dog bleed to death not paying attention to her and more worried about her French fries and lunch well it broke my heart Nubby was my best friend for 16 years and I am fighting cancer and needed her more then anything so people beware of the women doctor there she is careless and cost me my best friend 💔 broke my heart and never said one word to me and disappeared as I was packing my dogs body out of there facility.
To be honest we were not informed of any mass or tumor till after the surgery when we were shown the mass on the spleen. We were told that there was internal.bleeding possibly coming from her spleen. And that they can live without their spleen. Then after the surgery before she passed we asked multiple times to see her and we were told no. She wouldn't even hear us if we saw her and talked to her. Then an hour an half later we were carrying her out in a blanket. When we were holding her after she had passed all we could hear was laughter coming from the back room and more. Do you even know how heart breaking that is? The staff didnt even have the courtesy to realize what we were dealing with. They saw my wife fall to the floor holding our Nubby devastated and that is the caring staff you have so disgusting. After we were told that she had passed by the doctor we never saw her again. We had to have my best friend come down and help us carry her out of the office thru the lobby. I am personally dealing with stage 4 cancer and all this has broken our family. Then after making this review we receive a phone call.from your office telling us you are calling your attorney for harassment! Do you do that to everyone that leaves bad reviews? We have been loyal there for 30 years! This is horrible and disgusting treatment.

I have been a loyal client of **Bandon Veterinary Clinic** for years, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. They have provided exceptional care for a variety of my animals, including cats, dogs, sheep, and horses. Unlike many other clinics, they still offer emergency services, which I have had to use on three separate occasions—something that is becoming increasingly rare.
The front office staff are some of the kindest and most professional employees I have ever encountered. Their compassion and efficiency make every visit a positive experience. It's refreshing to find a team that genuinely cares, both about the animals and their owners.
Dr. Hewitt and Dr. Hitner are truly exceptional. Dr. Hewitt went above and beyond to save my cat from a life-threatening blockage, even coming in on her weekend to provide care. Dr. Hitner’s quick action and expertise saved one of my sheep after a severe dog attack. Their dedication and knowledge are unmatched.
Beyond emergencies, Bandon Veterinary Clinic has provided excellent routine care for my animals, including horse sheath cleanings, wellness exams, and spaying/neutering my dogs. Each visit, whether for a routine check-up or a critical emergency, I have left feeling confident in their care and grateful for their commitment to my animals' well-being.
