We have an older cat Slinky Long black hair n green eyes. When the Summer heat returns he has his Summer grooming including a massive removal of his thick long hair and nails clipped. Slinky has only been a client of Land of Paws in Ashland. Andrew and the staff are very friendly and because we are disabled the staff comes to take Slinky from the car and when ready to return the staff brings him back out in the carrier. Slinky purrs and appears to enjoy the process and enjoys the comfort. We are very attached and protective of our long time fur baby. That being said, we highly recommend and appreciate the care and skill to ensure our fur baby is emotionally supported while care is provided.

Friendly staff and they are always able to fit us in for a nail trim last minute even though they are super busy. They are able to keep my dog calmer than any other places we've tried and it takes less than ten minutes : )

I really do not know how Blair W. Wrote such a terrible review, I have been going to land of paws for over 10 years..they are totally professional, and love the animals they trim..I think Blair just wants someone to blame, and having to wait 20 extra minutes..big deal..I think your dog had a problem before you went to land of Paws..and personally you sound like a grumpy person…

I wanted to like this place, I really did - particularly with how many 5-star reviews they seem to have. We just moved to town a week ago and I was desperate to get my small dog a groom, so I reached out. All they had time for was a bath, nails, anal glands and slight sanitary trim but I took it because I figured it was better than nothing to get established, even though they quoted me 2 hours for it, which seemed extensive. Typically in past one-on-one situations, he was in and out in less than an hour. When I called, it was loud and chaotic but against my better judgement, I still booked. When I finally walked in for the appointment, it was also loud and chaotic, a small dog crying in a crate at the back of the room, and in my opinion, not super clean inside. I dropped him off and they said he should be done in two hours, as initially quoted. When I showed back up 2 hours later, she said they were supposed to call me when he was done, and he needed another 15 min. I came back 20 minutes later - nearly two and a half hours after I dropped him off and he was *just* being brought to the front. It seemed like they barely did anything, clearly bathed and trimmed in a couple areas but honestly, not much and less than I was hoping it would entail. I've paid the same amount elsewhere for an all-over light trim. It's fine, I thought I simply wouldn't use them again in the future and move on. The owner was gracious and warm at pickup, which I appreciated. A day or two later I noticed my dog was licking his groin a lot more than usual and lo and behold, he has some kind of inflamed sore/bump now on the tip of his penis - one of the primary areas they groomed that was not there before. I'm not certain what happened, but now I am left to deal with it, which is stressful. I'm not sure if they accidentally cut him, or if it was due to unsanitary practices, or a response to some product they used, but I have truly *never* experienced this reaction after any groomer over the last 7 years. Would not recommend and am honestly uncertain why so many rave about this place - the conditions, the overbooking of dogs, and now the post-groom reaction leave me never wanting to come back. While the staff seem relatively nice, I prefer a much different grooming experience overall.

We've been taking our dogs here for years and the owners are so amazing and do such a wonderful job with our pups!! They always come home happy and clean (which is a feat since our Shepard is such high anxiety). Highly recommend.
