“Ace was amazing for me! My instructor was Fadi and as an anxious driver I can say he was amazing at keeping a calm relaxed environment while still being an incredible teacher!! I did my schooling online but I'd say it was super clear and easy to understand!!”
“Originally, I was set to register with another school but at the last minute, I learned of Northstar.
Based on what they were offering, including the simulator which ended up being a huge help in my development, I went with Northstar. Going with them was the best decision that I could have made.
First off, the administration was great. Liz runs a tight ship and prioritizes the safety and needs of the students. Whether it was the schedule or some paperwork that needed to be processed, what ever it might be, everything was always on point and a huge quality of life that allowed me to put 100 percent of my focus into my book work, schedule 1 and road work.
The airbrake class was excellent. Ray kept the course entertaining and interesting but more importantly he taught it in manner that anyone could digest and understand which is exactly what I needed, coming from a long layoff and a trade that has zero crossover with the trucking industry and subject matter.
All of the Northstar instructors are top tier and stood out in their own way. Wayne has an amazing ability to customize his approach to each student and might be the best teacher I’ve ever had in regards to presenting a lot of information in way that can be organized and retained. Brad was great at helping me understand how to apply and make use of all the lessons I was learning in real life situations while keeping the environment enjoyable. And I can’t say enough about Mike, who went above and beyond, constantly pushing safety and professionalism in his driving instructions and is the only person I believe that could’ve gotten me across the finish line in the time I did. I can’t wait to apply and develop all the lessons I learned from him as I go on.
Overall though, I believe it’s all the decades of professional experience that the entire Northstar staff bring to the table that set Northstar Truck Driving School apart. Everyone there took the time pass on that experience to myself and the other students preparing us not to just pass a test but preparing us to become true professionals in the trucking industry.
I highly recommend Northstar Truck Driving School.
